
GPCH offers a variety of special services to make your stay as
pleasant and comfortable as possible. You are welcome to
take advantage of the following services:
Mail
Letters and packages for patients are delivered each morning
by volunteers. Letters and parcels that arrive after you
have been discharged are forwarded to your home. Stationery
may be purchased in the Gift Shop. Outgoing mail may be left
at the nurses' station or given to a volunteer.
Flowers
Flowers are delivered to your room by volunteers. Please keep
in mind that large plants and flowers are difficult to deliver
and remove upon discharge.
Newspapers
The Borger News Herald and The Eagle Press are donated by local
merchants for delivery to your room.
Notary Public
The services of a notary are available for patients free of
charge. For more information, please call extension 1101.
For the Hearing Impaired
A telecommunications device is available in the Emergency Department
for hearing impaired patients in an emergency. Arrangements
can also be made to have a person who uses sign language
help a hearing impaired or deaf patient.
Interpreters
The hospital has access to interpreters for a number of foreign
languages if a patient should require it. For more information,
call the nursing desk.
Medical Records
You may obtain a copy of your medical record, after discharge,
by calling 273-1181.
