The Medical Staff
The physician who admits you is responsible for directing your care while you are a patient at GPCH. Your physician, as the coordinator for your treatment program, should be consulted if you have questions about your illness.
Nursing Staff
Nursing care is provided 24 hours a day by a team of professional registered nurses, licensed practical nurses and nurse assistants. A nurse manager is responsible for directing and coordinating nursing care on each unit.
Dieticians
The hospital offers a full-time registered dietician to meet your dietary needs during your stay. If you have questions about your meals or diet, please call Ext. 1192.
GPCH Housekeeping
Your hospital room is cleaned daily by a member of the housekeeping staff. If there is a housekeeping problem in your room, please use the call button at your bedside to inform your nurse or call Ext. 1125 and it will be taken care of as soon as possible.
Pastoral Services (Clergy)
GPCH believes that total patient care demands attention to the spiritual as well as the physical and emotional needs of our patients. Member of the clergy staff are available to assist you, whatever your religious tradition. If you have need of a clergy, please contact your nursing staff.
Patient Billing
Patient Billing representatives can answer questions about your hospital bill and help you interpret financial policies and billing procedures at the hospital. Patient accounting can be reached by calling 273-1140 Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Social Workers
Social workers are trained to help patients and family members deal with financial, social, and emotional problems that relate to illness or hospitalization. Members of the department work with patients and families to help deal with long-term illnesses and rehabilitation and are also involved in discharge planning. Advanced Directives assistance is also available through our GPCH Social Services staff. You may reach Social Services by calling Ext. 1376.
Volunteers
Volunteers contribute many hours of service and financial assistance to the hospital. They supplement the services of the hospital staff in many ways and can be identified by their nametags.
